Dayne - Three Weeks Old

April 9, 2008 - Dayne is already 3 weeks old.

At his doctor appointment on Monday he weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces! We were not surprised as he enjoys his bottle! He was still his birth length...19 1/2 inches...again not surprising as he is filling out more in the face and body then in length. But Carson's premie clothes are no longer fitting as Dayne now likes to stretch out more.

We had the doctor take a look at a birth mark found on Dayne's leg when he was about a week old. It's the size of a quarter and located on the side of his right knee. We will watch it until the 6 month check up. If it raises and becomes larger it's most likely a hemangioma and will go away by the time he is 2 or 3...(I had one on my head as an infant). It could also could be a port-wine stain and will be a perminate mark. Neither is harmful to Dayne.
